अग्निरूपेण तस्याश्च स ददाह महाश्रमम् । चकर्ष वायुरूपेण महोग्रेण च तां शुभाम् । एवं सिहवृकाद्याभिर्भीषिकाभिः पुनःपुनः
agnirūpeṇa tasyāśca sa dadāha mahāśramam | cakarṣa vāyurūpeṇa mahogreṇa ca tāṃ śubhām | evaṃ sihavṛkādyābhirbhīṣikābhiḥ punaḥpunaḥ
অগ্নিরূপে সে তার মহাশ্রম দগ্ধ করল; আর মহাভয়ংকর বায়ুরূপে সেই শুভা নারীকে টেনে নিয়ে গেল। এইভাবে সিংহ, নেকড়ে প্রভৃতি ভীষণ বিভীষিকায় বারংবার তার সংকল্প টলাতে চেষ্টা করল।
