দেবদেব বললেন— ‘হে চতুর্ভুজ! ভবিষ্যতে এখানে মহানন্দ নামে এক দ্বিজ (ব্রাহ্মণ) হবে; সে শ্রেষ্ঠ বৈদিক আচরণ অনুসরণ করবে এবং তীর্থ-সম্পর্কিত দান গ্রহণ ত্যাগ করবে।’
