Transliteration

darśāṣṭakāsu bhūtāyāṃ śrāddhikaṃ pratigṛhya ca | pratipadyapi pūrṇāyāṃ gajoṣṭrābhyāṃ kṛtāṃtare

Translation

দর্শা ও অষ্টকা তিথিতে, ভূতা (অশুভ) দিনে, শ্রাদ্ধের দান গ্রহণ করার পর, এবং পূর্ণিমার পরের প্রতিপদে—হাতি ও উটের কারণে বিঘ্ন ঘটলে—এসব সময় অনধ্যায়; তখন বেদাধ্যয়ন স্থগিত রাখতে হয়।
