क्रमाद्द्वैगुण्यमेतस्माद्ब्रह्मचर्यादिषु त्रिषु । दिवाविहित शौचस्य रात्रावर्धं समाचरेत्
kramāddvaiguṇyametasmādbrahmacaryādiṣu triṣu | divāvihita śaucasya rātrāvardhaṃ samācaret
এই শৌচ-পরিমাণ ব্রহ্মচর্য প্রভৃতি তিন আশ্রমে ক্রমান্বয়ে দ্বিগুণ করতে হয়। আর রাত্রিতে, দিবাকালের জন্য বিধিত শৌচের অর্ধেক পালন করবে।
