dama dāna dayā kṣāṃti śauceṃdriya vinigrahāḥ | asteya satyāhiṃsāśca sarveṣāṃ dharmahetavaḥ

দম, দান, দয়া, ক্ষমা, শৌচ ও ইন্দ্রিয়-নিগ্রহ; আর অচৌর্য, সত্য ও অহিংসা—এগুলোই সকলের ধর্মধারণের কারণ।
