gandharvā ūcuḥ | rāmanātha tvamasmākaṃ bhajatāṃ bhavasāgare | apāre duḥkhakallole na tvattonyā gatirhi naḥ
Gandharvas
Tirtha: Rāmanātha at Setu
Type: kshetra
Listener: Rāmanātha (Śiva)
Scene: Gandharvas in celestial attire hover above the sea near Setu, singing to Rāmanātha; the ocean’s waves mirror saṃsāra’s turmoil while a calm halo around the liṅga signifies refuge.
Śaraṇāgati: in the turbulence of saṃsāra, the devotee recognizes the Lord alone as the true refuge.
Rāmanātha of Setu (Rāmeśvaram/Setubandha), praised as the saving presence for beings caught in saṃsāra.
Bhajana (devotional worship) is the implied practice; no specific vow or rite is detailed.
