tasmiṃstīrthe sakṛtsnānā tsmaraṇātkīrtanādapi | loke tatodhikaṃ tīrthaṃ tattulyaṃ vā dvijottamāḥ
Sūta (Lomaharṣaṇa) to the sages (contextual deduction for Brāhma Khaṇḍa narrative style)
Tirtha: Dharma-tīrtha (praised as unsurpassed)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Dvijottamāḥ (foremost brāhmaṇas) / sages
Scene: Sages seated in a coastal hermitage as the narrator extols a sea-side tīrtha; distant sandbar/bridge-like line over the ocean; pilgrims performing a single ceremonial bath while others fold hands in praise.
A single act of sincere contact with a supreme tīrtha—through bathing, remembrance, or praise—can yield extraordinary merit and purification.
The Setu-region tīrtha being described in Setukhaṇḍa (the sacred fords associated with Setu/Rāmeśvaram tradition).
Snāna (bathing) even once; additionally, smaraṇa (remembering) and kīrtana (praising/reciting) are affirmed as meritorious practices.
