ब्रह्महत्यान्वितः कण्वो निस्तेजा व्यचरन्महीम् । व्यचरंश्चैव सम्प्राप्तो नर्मदामुरिसंगमे
brahmahatyānvitaḥ kaṇvo nistejā vyacaranmahīm | vyacaraṃścaiva samprāpto narmadāmurisaṃgame
ব্রহ্মহত্যার পাপে যুক্ত কণ্ব তেজহীন হয়ে পৃথিবীতে ঘুরে বেড়াতে লাগল; আর ঘুরতে ঘুরতে সে উরিসঙ্গমে নর্মদার কাছে এসে পৌঁছাল।
