श्रीमार्कण्डेय उवाच । गोपेश्वरं ततो गच्छेदुत्तरे नर्मदातटे । यत्र स्नानेन चैकेन मुच्यन्ते पातकैर्नराः

শ্রী মার্কণ্ডেয় বললেন—তারপর নর্মদার উত্তর তীরে গোপেশ্বরে যেতে হবে; যেখানে একবার স্নানেই মানুষ পাপ থেকে মুক্ত হয়।
