यद्यास्तिकस्सुधर्मिष्ठो मान्यो वा यो ऽपि कोपि वा । तमुद्दिश्यापि नो कुर्यादाततायिनमप्युत
yadyāstikassudharmiṣṭho mānyo vā yo 'pi kopi vā | tamuddiśyāpi no kuryādātatāyinamapyuta
যে-ই হোক—আস্তিক, অতিধর্মনিষ্ঠ ও মান্য—তাকেও লক্ষ্য করে আততায়ীর কর্ম করা উচিত নয়, এবং এমন পাপে প্ররোচিতও করা উচিত নয়।

It teaches that dharma cannot be sacrificed for personal loyalty or social reverence; avoiding aggression and incitement protects one from binding karma (pāśa) and supports inner purity needed for Shiva-realization.
Linga worship in the Shiva Purana is inseparable from ethical discipline: devotion to Saguna Shiva is validated by dharmic conduct, and restraint from harm becomes an offering that aligns the devotee with Shiva’s auspicious nature.
Practice japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with a vow of ahiṃsā and right speech—avoiding instigation—supported by daily Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) as a reminder to burn anger and violent impulses.
