ममावतारा हि शुभे योगाचार्यच्छलेन तु । सर्वांतरेषु सन्त्यार्ये संततिश्च सहस्रशः । अयुक्तानामबुद्धीनामभक्तानां सुरेश्वरि । दुर्लभं संततिज्ञानं ततो यत्नात्समाश्रयेत्
mamāvatārā hi śubhe yogācāryacchalena tu | sarvāṃtareṣu santyārye saṃtatiśca sahasraśaḥ | ayuktānāmabuddhīnāmabhaktānāṃ sureśvari | durlabhaṃ saṃtatijñānaṃ tato yatnātsamāśrayet
হে শুভে দেবী, যোগাচার্যের ছলে আমার অবতার ঘটে; আর প্রত্যেক যুগে, হে আর্যা, সহস্র-সহস্র সাধু-পরম্পরা বিদ্যমান। কিন্তু অসংযত, অল্পবুদ্ধি ও ভক্তিহীনদের পক্ষে, হে সুরেশ্বরী, সত্য পরম্পরার জ্ঞান দুর্লভ; অতএব যত্নসহকারে তারই শরণ নিতে হয়।

By stressing refuge in a genuine lineage, the verse implies that proper Linga/Saguna Shiva worship—mantra, pūjā, and inner contemplation—must be received and practiced under right guidance so it becomes a means to Shiva’s grace (anugraha) rather than mere external ritual.
The takeaway is to seek initiation and disciplined practice under a true Shaiva guru—typically including japa of the Panchakshara ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya"), meditation on Shiva, and regulated conduct—since lineage-guided sādhanā makes liberating knowledge attainable.
