Himālaya’s Resolution to Give Pārvatī to Śiva
tatra gatvā śivaṃ natvā stutvā vivi dhasūktibhiḥ | ūcuḥ sarve vasiṣṭhādyā munayaḥ parameśvaram
Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating the Purāṇic account)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Type: stotra
Offering: pushpa
It models the Shaiva path of grace: seekers first approach Parameśvara with humility (namaskāra) and devotion (stuti), establishing inner purity before asking questions or receiving teachings.
The verse reflects saguna-upāsanā: Śiva is personally approached, bowed to, and praised with hymns—exactly the devotional mood used in Liṅga worship through ārādhana, stotra, and namaskāra.
Offer namaskāra and recite Śiva-stotras (or the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) before petitions or meditation, cultivating reverence and one-pointedness.
