देव्याः क्रोधः शक्तिनिर्माणं च
Devī’s Wrath and the Manifestation of the Śaktis
देव्युवाच । मत्पुत्रो यदि जीवेत तदा संहरणं नहि । यथा हि भवतां मध्ये पूज्योऽयं च भविष्यति
devyuvāca | matputro yadi jīveta tadā saṃharaṇaṃ nahi | yathā hi bhavatāṃ madhye pūjyo'yaṃ ca bhaviṣyati
দেবী বললেন—যদি আমার পুত্র জীবিত থাকে, তবে তার প্রাণহরণ হবে না। কারণ কালে কালে তোমাদের মধ্যেই সেও পূজ্য হয়ে উঠবে।
Devī (Pārvatī)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
Offering: pushpa
Devī asserts the protective power of divine grace: the life of her son is not to be “withdrawn,” and his destiny is to become pūjya—showing that the Divine Mother safeguards the devotee and establishes dharmic honor within the community.
Though the verse is spoken by Devī, it reflects the Shaiva Siddhānta outlook where Saguna divinity operates through compassion and protection; worship (pūjā) arises when divine will and grace manifest in a tangible person or form, just as Linga-worship centers the devotee on accessible, grace-filled presence.
The takeaway is compassionate, protective bhakti: pray for the welfare (ārogya) of dependents and offer regular pūjā with mantra-japa (e.g., “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) as an expression of trust in divine guardianship.
