“তুমি আমার পুত্র, তুমি আমারই; এখানে আমার আর কেউ নেই।” এ কথা শুনে সেই পুরুষ প্রণাম করে শিবা (পার্বতী)-কে সম্বোধন করল।
Narrator (Sūta Gosvāmin) describing the event; dialogue within the verse is spoken by an unnamed father-figure to a man, who then speaks to Śivā (Pārvatī).

Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
It highlights relationship and belonging as a basis for śaraṇāgati (surrender): the devotee responds to being accepted by bowing, then turns toward Śivā (Pārvatī), reflecting Shaiva Siddhānta’s emphasis on grace received through humility and devotion.
The verse models Saguna devotion—approaching the Divine in personal form (Śivā/Śiva). In practice, this same reverent approach is expressed before the Śiva-liṅga, where bowing and prayer embody personal relationship with Pati (the Lord).
Namaskāra (prostration) and verbal stuti/prārthanā (spoken prayer) are implied; a fitting Shaiva application is to bow before the liṅga, apply tripuṇḍra-bhasma, and recite the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” with humility.
