হে ইন্দ্র! এ তোমার সেই আর্য-শৌর্যকর্ম—নরদের গীত—সর্বপ্রথম ও অতিপ্রাচীন; যা স্বর্গে ঘোষিত হয়। দেবশক্তির বলেই তুমি জলধারাকে মুক্ত করেছিলে; আর ওজসে দেবতুল্য হয়ে সর্বভূবনে ব্যাপ্ত হয়েছিলে। শতক্রতু পুষ্টি (ঊর্জা) লাভ করল এবং অভীষ্টও লাভ করল।
