Sukta 8.19

यः समिधा य आहुती यो वेदेन ददाश मर्तो अग्नये । यो नमसा स्वध्वरः ॥
Transliteration
yáḥ samídhā yá ā́hutī yó védena dadā́śa márto agnáye | yó námasā svadhvaráḥ ||
Translation
যে মর্ত্য সমিধা দিয়ে, আহুতি দিয়ে, বেদ (জ্ঞান) দিয়ে অগ্নিকে দান করে; যে নমসা (নম্র শ্রদ্ধা) সহ—স্বধ্বর, অর্থাৎ স্ব-নিয়ন্ত্রিত ও ঋজু যজ্ঞসম্পন্ন—সে অগ্নির যথার্থ রক্ষণে প্রবেশ করে।
