Sukta 7.83
वृत्राण्यन्यः समिथेषु जिघ्नते व्रतान्यन्यो अभि रक्षते सदा । हवामहे वां वृषणा सुवृक्तिभिरस्मे इन्द्रावरुणा शर्म यच्छतम् ॥
vṛtrā́ṇy anyáḥ samithéṣu jíghnate vratā́ny anyó abhí rakṣate sádā | havā́mahe vāṃ vṛṣaṇā suvṛ́ktibhir asmé indrāvaruṇā śárma yacchatam ||
তোমাদের একজন সমরে বৃত্র-আবরণসমূহকে নিধন করে; অন্যজন সদা ঋতের ব্রতসমূহ রক্ষা করে। হে বৃষণো, সুগঠিত স্তবে আমরা তোমাদের আহ্বান করি—হে ইন্দ্র–বরুণ, আমাদের শরণ ও শান্তি দাও।
