तृषु यदन्ना तृषुणा ववक्ष तृषुं दूतं कृणुते यह्वो अग्निः । वातस्य मेळिं सचते निजूर्वन्नाशुं न वाजयते हिन्वे अर्वा ॥

Transliteration

tṛṣú yád ánnā tṛṣúṇā vavákṣa tṛṣúṃ dūtáṃ kṛṇute yáhvo agníḥ | vā́tasya meḷíṃ sacate ni-jū́rvan āśúṃ ná vājayate hinvé árvā ||

Translation

যখন সে দাহক তৃষ্ণায় খাদ্যসমূহের মধ্যে বৃদ্ধি পায়, তখন প্রবল অগ্নি নিজেকেই তৃষিত দূত করে তোলে। সে বায়ুর ধাবমান বেগের সঙ্গে যুক্ত হয়; অগ্রসর হয়ে, প্রাচুর্যলাভের জন্য দ্রুত অশ্বরূপে তাড়িত হয়।
