Sukta 4.53
तद्देवस्य सवितुर्वार्यं महद्वृणीमहे असुरस्य प्रचेतसः । छर्दिर्येन दाशुषे यच्छति त्मना तन्नो महाँ उदयान्देवो अक्तुभिः ॥
tád devásya savitúr vā́ryam mahád vr̥ṇīmahe ásurasya prácetasaḥ | chardír yéna dāśúṣe yácchati tmánā tán no mahā́n úd ayān devó aktúbhiḥ ||
আমরা সवিতা-দেবের সেই পরম, বরণীয়, মহান মহিমাকেই বরণ করি—সেই অসুর (প্রভু) প্রচেতসের; সেই রক্ষাকারী আশ্রয়-ছত্র, যার দ্বারা তিনি নিজেরই আত্মশক্তিতে দাতাকে (যজমানকে) দান করেন। সেই মহান দেব অক্তুভিঃ—অগ্রসর আলোকধারাসহ—আমাদের জন্য উদিত হোন, আমাদের সত্তাকে জাগিয়ে তুলুন।
