स होता यस्य रोदसी चिदुर्वी यज्ञंयज्ञमभि वृधे गृणीतः । प्राची अध्वरेव तस्थतुः सुमेके ऋतावरी ऋतजातस्य सत्ये ॥

Transliteration

sá hótā yásya ródasī cid urvī́ yajñáṃ-yajñam abhí vṛdhé gṛṇītáḥ | prā́cī adhvaréva tasthátuḥ suméke ṛtā́varī ṛtajā́tasya satyé ||

Translation

তিনি সেই হোতৃ, যাঁকে প্রত্যেক যজ্ঞে স্তব করলে বিস্তীর্ণ দ্যৌ-পৃথিবীও বৃদ্ধি করে। অধ্বরে তারা দুই অগ্রসর স্তম্ভের মতো দাঁড়িয়ে থাকে—সুন্দর যুগল—ঋত-এর রক্ষিকা; ঋতজাত সেই (অগ্নি)-র সত্যে প্রতিষ্ঠিত।
