Sukta 3.17
यथायजो होत्रमग्ने पृथिव्या यथा दिवो जातवेदश्चिकित्वान् । एवानेन हविषा यक्षि देवान्मनुष्वद्यज्ञं प्र तिरेममद्य ॥
yáthā́yajo hotrám agne pṛthivyā́ yáthā́ divó jā́tavedas cikitvā́n | evā́néna havíṣā yakṣi devā́n manuṣvád yajñáṃ prá tirémám adyá ||
হে অগ্নি, যেমন পৃথিবীতে তুমি যথাযজ (যথাবিধি) হোতৃ-কর্ম করেছিলে, এবং যেমন, হে জাতবেদস্, দিব থেকে তুমি চিকিত্বান্ (সচেতন জ্ঞানে) তা করেছিলে—তেমনি এখন এই হবিশা (আহুতি) দ্বারা দেবগণের যজন কর। মানব-রীতিতে আজ এই যজ্ঞকে অগ্রসর কর; এর বর্তমান সীমার পরেও একে পার করিয়ে দাও।
