Sukta 2.1
त्वमग्ने सुभृत उत्तमं वयस्तव स्पार्हे वर्ण आ संदृशि श्रियः । त्वं वाजः प्रतरणो बृहन्नसि त्वं रयिर्बहुलो विश्वतस्पृथुः ॥
tvám agne subhṛ́ta uttamáṃ váyas táva spā́rhe várṇa ā́ saṃdṛ́śi śríyaḥ | tváṃ vā́jaḥ pratáraṇo bṛhánn asi tváṃ rayír bahuló viśvátas pṛthúḥ ||
হে অগ্নি, সুস্থিত, তুমি সর্বোত্তম বয়স্—উচ্চতম প্রাণবল; তোমার কাম্য দীপ্তিতে শ্রীসমূহ স্পষ্ট দর্শনে আসে। তুমি সেই বাজ, যে আমাদের পার করায়; তুমি বহুল রয়ি—সর্বদিকে বিস্তৃত।
