एवैवापागपरे सन्तु दूढ्योऽश्वा येषां दुर्युज आयुयुज्रे । इत्था ये प्रागुपरे सन्ति दावने पुरूणि यत्र वयुनानि भोजना ॥

eváivāpā́g ápare santu dūḍhyò 'śvā yéṣāṃ duryúja āyuyujré | itthā́ yé prā́g upáre sánti dā́vane purū́ṇi yátra vayúnāni bhójanā ||

অতএব সত্যই অন্যেরা পিছনে পড়ে থাকুক, চেপে-দমিত হোক—যাদের অশ্ব দুর্যুজ, যাদের যথার্থভাবে জোতা যায় না। কিন্তু যারা অগ্রে ও উচ্চে আছে, তারা দানের জন্য—সেখানে বহু দান হয়, যেখানে বিধিবদ্ধ বয়ুনানি (বিবেচনাময় বিন্যাস)ই ভোগ্য হয়ে ওঠে।
