Sukta 1.52
अभि स्ववृष्टिं मदे अस्य युध्यतो रघ्वीरिव प्रवणे सस्रुरूतयः । इन्द्रो यद्वज्री धृषमाणो अन्धसा भिनद्वलस्य परिधीँरिव त्रितः ॥
abhí svavṛ́ṣṭiṃ máde asya yúdhyato raghvī́r iva praváṇe sasrur ūtáyaḥ | índro yád vajrī́ dhṛṣámāṇo ándhasā bhínad válasya paridhī́ṃr iva tritáḥ ||
তাঁর নিজের বর্ষণ-ধারার দিকে—সোম-মদে যুদ্ধরত অবস্থায়—সহায়তাগুলি ঢাল বেয়ে দ্রুত স্রোতের মতো ছুটে চলল। যখন বজ্রধারী ইন্দ্র, অন্ধস্ (সোমরস)-আনন্দে ধৃষ্ট হয়ে, বলার পরিধি-আবরণগুলি এমনভাবে বিদীর্ণ করলেন যেন কেউ বেষ্টনী-রিম ভেঙে দেয়—তখন গোপন পূর্ণতা ও ঐশ্বর্য উন্মোচিত হল।
