स्वकर्मनिरता नित्यं ब्राह्मणा विजितेन्द्रिया: ।दानाध्ययनशीलाश्च संयताश्च परिग्रहे ।।1.6.13।।

svakarmaniratā nityaṁ brāhmaṇā vijitendriyāḥ |

dānādhyayanaśīlāś ca saṁyatāś ca parigrahe ||1.6.13||

ব্রাহ্মণগণ সর্বদা নিজ নিজ ধর্মকর্মে নিবিষ্ট, ইন্দ্রিয়জয়ী ছিলেন; দান ও অধ্যয়নে অনুরক্ত এবং গ্রহণ-পরিগ্রহে সংযত ছিলেন।
