ते तं हयवरं ज्ञात्वा क्रोधपर्याकुलेक्षणा:।।।।खनित्रलाङ्गलधरा नानावृक्षशिलाधरा:।अभ्यधावन्त सङ्क्रुद्धास्तिष्ठ तिष्ठेति चाब्रुवन्।।।।

te taṃ hayavaraṃ jñātvā krodhaparyākulekṣaṇāḥ | khanitralāṅgaladharā nānāvṛkṣaśilādharāḥ | abhyadhāvanta saṅkruddhās tiṣṭha tiṣṭheti cābruvan |

সেই শ্রেষ্ঠ অশ্বটিকে চিনে নিয়ে, ক্রোধে ব্যাকুল দৃষ্টিসম্পন্ন তারা—কোদাল ও লাঙল ধারণ করে, নানা বৃক্ষ ও শিলা বহন করে—ক্রুদ্ধ হয়ে ছুটে গেল এবং চিৎকার করে বলল, “থামো! থামো!”
