The Greatness of the Gaṅgā: Purification, Ancestor Rites, and Liberation

जाह्नवीं यो गतः पुण्यां स गच्छेन्निर्जरालयम् । द्विजा ऊचुः । गंगायाः कीर्तनं व्यास श्रुतं त्वत्तो विनिर्मलम्

jāhnavīṃ yo gataḥ puṇyāṃ sa gacchennirjarālayam | dvijā ūcuḥ | gaṃgāyāḥ kīrtanaṃ vyāsa śrutaṃ tvatto vinirmalam

যে পুণ্যময়ী জাহ্নবী (গঙ্গা) তীরে গমন করে, সে অমরদের ধামে পৌঁছে। দ্বিজেরা বলল—“হে ব্যাস! গঙ্গার এই নির্মল কীর্তন আমরা আপনার মুখে শুনেছি।”
