देवा ऊचुः । नमस्त्वोंकारांकुरादिप्रसूत्यै विश्वस्थानानंतभेदस्य पूर्वम् । संभूतस्यानंतरं सत्वमूले संहारेच्छोस्ते नमः सत्वमूर्त्ते

দেবগণ বললেন—আপনাকে নমস্কার, যাঁহা থেকে ওঁকারের অঙ্কুর প্রভৃতি উৎপন্ন হয়; অসংখ্য লোকধাম ও বিভেদের বিশ্বযুগেরও পূর্বে যিনি। সৃষ্টির পরে প্রকাশিত হলেও আপনি সত্ত্বমূল; আর যাঁর ইচ্ছা সংহার—হে সত্ত্বমূর্তি, আপনাকে নমস্কার।

Sandhi Resolution Notes: namas + tvam → namas tvam (written namastv-); oṃkāra-aṃkura-ādi-prasūtyai is a multi-member tatpuruṣa; saṃhāra-icchoḥ + te → saṃhārecchoste (icchoḥ te).
It presents Oṃkāra as a primordial principle—an initial “sprout” arising from the addressed deity/source—linking Om with the emergence of creation and cosmic order.
The verse praises the divine as fundamentally pure and illuminating (sattva), suggesting that the sustaining or revelatory aspect of divinity is grounded in clarity and harmony even amid cosmic processes.
It implies a cyclical cosmos: the divine is beyond the universe (prior to all divisions), yet also appears within manifestation, and ultimately governs withdrawal (saṃhāra) by sovereign will.
