FAQs

Gandharvas are celestial beings traditionally associated with music, song, and royal or divine courts; here the verse specifically notes their womenfolk approaching the king’s location.

It describes the Gandharva women—beautifully adorned—going to the place where the king is staying, motivated by curiosity or a desire to witness the event.

It sets a courtly, festive atmosphere: an important royal presence draws attention, and celestial attendants arrive ornamented, suggesting spectacle and ceremonial interest.
