Gaṅgā-māhātmya

यैः पुण्यवाहिनी गंगा सकृद्भक्त्यावगाहिता । तेषां कुलानां लक्षं तु भवात्तारयते शिवा ॥ २ ॥

yaiḥ puṇyavāhinī gaṃgā sakṛdbhaktyāvagāhitā | teṣāṃ kulānāṃ lakṣaṃ tu bhavāttārayate śivā || 2 ||

যাঁরা পুণ্যবাহিনী গঙ্গায় একবারও ভক্তিসহ অবগাহন করেছেন, তাঁদের বংশের লক্ষ প্রজন্মকে শিবা-স্বরূপিণী গঙ্গা সংসারবন্ধন থেকে উদ্ধার করেন।
