The Description of Mārkaṇḍeya
पानीयदाननिरता येऽन्नदानरतास्तथा । एकादशीव्रतरता ते वै भागवतोत्तमाः ॥ ७४ ॥
pānīyadānaniratā ye'nnadānaratāstathā | ekādaśīvrataratā te vai bhāgavatottamāḥ || 74 ||
যাঁরা পানীয় জল দানে নিবিষ্ট, যাঁরা অন্নদানে আনন্দিত, এবং যাঁরা একাদশী-ব্রতে অবিচল—তাঁরাই সত্যই ভগবানের ভক্তদের মধ্যে শ্রেষ্ঠ।
