Bhakti-Śraddhā-Ācāra-Māhātmya and the Commencement of the Mārkaṇḍeya Narrative

तापत्रयाभिधानेन बाध्यमानो हि मानवः । अन्यं क्रीडयितुं शक्तः कथं भवति सत्तमः ॥ ७२ ॥

tāpatrayābhidhānena bādhyamāno hi mānavaḥ | anyaṃ krīḍayituṃ śaktaḥ kathaṃ bhavati sattamaḥ || 72 ||

ত্রিতাপ নামে পরিচিত তিন প্রকার দুঃখে পীড়িত মানুষ, হে সৎশ্রেষ্ঠ, কীভাবে অন্যকে নিয়ে ক্রীড়া বা তুচ্ছতা করতে সক্ষম হবে?
