एवं निवारयंतं तं बहुशो ज्येष्टसोदरम् । हनिष्यामीति निश्चित्य खङ्गहस्तः कचेऽग्रहीत् ॥ ८ ॥

evaṃ nivārayaṃtaṃ taṃ bahuśo jyeṣṭasodaram | haniṣyāmīti niścitya khaṅgahastaḥ kace'grahīt || 8 ||

জ্যেষ্ঠ ভ্রাতা তাকে বহুবার নিবারণ করার চেষ্টা করলেও, "আমি একে হত্যা করব" এই নিশ্চয় করে, খড়্গহস্তে সে তার চুল ধরে ফেলল।
