भर्त्तुः शरीरशुश्रूषां दौरात्म्यादप्रकुर्वती । दण्ड्या द्वादशकं नारी वर्षं त्याज्या धनं विना ॥ १७ ॥
bharttuḥ śarīraśuśrūṣāṃ daurātmyādaprakurvatī | daṇḍyā dvādaśakaṃ nārī varṣaṃ tyājyā dhanaṃ vinā || 17 ||
যে নারী দুষ্ট অভিপ্রায়ে স্বামীর দেহ-পরিচর্যা করে না, তাকে বারো (দণ্ড-একক) জরিমানা করা উচিত। আর তবু যদি সে স্থির থাকে, তবে কোনো অর্থ না দিয়ে এক বছর পরিত্যাগ করা উচিত॥১৭॥
