Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada)
Vrata: Padmā-vrata (Padma-vrata)
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that a vrata is spiritually “sealed” by completion rites—feeding, charitable gifting (especially go-dāna), and dakṣiṇā—so the observance becomes fully meritorious rather than merely intention-based.
By emphasizing respectful service and giving, it frames devotion as embodied worship—honoring dharmic recipients and supporting sacred work as a concrete expression of bhakti accompanying the Padma-vrata.
It reflects Kalpa (ritual procedure): the correct sequence—bhojana, dāna (go-dāna), dakṣiṇā, and visarjana—showing how rites are properly concluded in vrata practice.
