मार्कण्डेय उवाच
ततस्तौ सहितौ विप्र तं मुनिं समुपस्थितौ ।
समाधिर्नाम वैश्योऽसौ स च पार्थिवसत्तमः ॥
mārkaṇḍeya uvāca
tatas tau sahitau vipra taṃ muniṃ samupasthitau |
samādhir nāma vaiśyo 'sau sa ca pārthiva-sattamaḥ ||
মার্কণ্ডেয় বললেন—তখন সেই দুজন, হে ব্রাহ্মণ, একসঙ্গে সেই মুনির কাছে গেল। বণিকের নাম ছিল সমাধি, আর অন্যজন ছিলেন সেই উৎকৃষ্ট রাজা।
