Udyoga Parva, Adhyāya 72 — Bhīmasena’s counsel on conciliation and Duryodhana’s disposition

मनुष्यलोकक्षयकृत्‌ सुघोरो नो चेदनुप्राप्त इहान्तकः स्यात्‌ | शस्त्राणि यन्त्र कवचान्‌ रथांश्व नागान्‌ हयांश्व प्रतिपादयित्वा

yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | manuṣyalokakṣayakṛt sughoro no ced anuprāpta ihāntakaḥ syāt | śastrāṇi yantra-kavacān rathāśva-nāgān hayāṃś ca pratipādayitvā |

যদি মানবলোক-সংহারকারী অতিভয়ংকর মৃত্যু এখানে নিকটে এসে না পৌঁছাত, তবে এমন প্রস্তুতি ও দৃশ্য দেখা যেত না। অতএব, হে নরেন্দ্র! আপনার সকল যোদ্ধা যুদ্ধের জন্য দৃঢ়সংকল্প হয়ে নানাবিধ অস্ত্র, যন্ত্র, বর্ম, রথ, হাতি ও ঘোড়া সুসজ্জিত করুক; হাতি-ঘোড়া ও রথে আরোহণ করে সর্বদা যুদ্ধের জন্য প্রস্তুত থাকুক। তদুপরি, যুদ্ধোপযোগী যত প্রয়োজনীয় সামগ্রী আছে, সবই সম্পূর্ণভাবে সংগ্রহ করুন।
