Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Appraisal of Strength and Preference for Śama
इत्येवं चिन्तयत् कृत्स्नमहोरात्राणि भारत । अनिद्रो नि:ःसुखश्नास्मि कुरूणां शमचिन्तया
ity evaṁ cintayat kṛtsnam ahorātrāṇi bhārata | anidro niḥsukhaś cāsmi kurūṇāṁ śamacin tayā ||
বৈশম্পায়ন বললেন—হে ভারত! এভাবে দিনরাত ভাবতে ভাবতে আমার ঘুম আসে না; কুরুদের মধ্যে কীভাবে শান্তি স্থাপিত হবে—এই দুশ্চিন্তাই আমার সমস্ত সুখ কেড়ে নিয়েছে।
