Sanatsujāta-Āhvāna (Summoning Sanatsujāta) — Vidura’s Invocation and Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Doubt
ते मोहितास्तद्वशे वर्तमाना इतः प्रेतास्तत्र पुन: पतन्ति । ततस्तान् देवा अनुविप्लवन्ते अतो मृत्युर्मरणाख्यामुपैति
te mohitās tadvaśe vartamānā itaḥ pretās tatra punaḥ patanti | tatas tān devā anuviplavante ato mṛtyur maraṇākhyām upaiti manuṣya ||
সনৎসুজাত বলেন—মোহের অধীন হয়ে যারা বাস করে, তারা এই লোক ত্যাগ করে আবার-আবার অন্য অস্তিত্বে পতিত হয়। সেখানে দেবশক্তি তাদের অস্থির করে এগিয়ে ঠেলে দেয়; তাই দেহধারণের পুনঃপুন ভঙ্গই ‘মরণ’ নামে পরিচিত। ক্রোধ, প্রমাদ ও লোভে মোহিত হলে অহংকার ও বন্ধন জন্মায়, আর জন্ম-মৃত্যুর চক্র অব্যাহত থাকে।
