Kṛṣṇa’s Conciliatory Address to Karṇa
अलं युद्धेन तैवीरि: शाम्य त्वं कुरुवृद्धये । मा गम: ससुतामात्य: सबलश्न यमक्षयम्
alaṁ yuddhena tair vīraiḥ śāmya tvaṁ kuru-vṛddhaye | mā gamaḥ sa-sutāmātyaḥ sa-balaś ca yamākṣayam, rājan ||
ভীষ্ম বললেন—ওই বীরদের সঙ্গে যুদ্ধ যথেষ্ট; এখন শান্ত হও এবং কুরুবংশের বৃদ্ধি ও মঙ্গলের জন্য সন্ধি করো। হে রাজন, এই সংঘাতে তোমার কোনো লাভ নেই; পুত্র, মন্ত্রী ও সৈন্যসহ যমলোকের অক্ষয় পথে যাত্রা কোরো না।
