निदर्शनान्युपायांश्व बहुन्युद्धर्षणानि च । अनुदर्शितरूपोडसि पश्यामि कुरु पौरुषम्
nidārśanāny upāyāṁś ca bahūny uddharṣaṇāni ca | anudarśita-rūpo ’si paśyāmi kuru pauruṣam ||
বৎস! আমি তোমাকে নানাবিধ দৃষ্টান্ত, বহু উপায় এবং মনোবল জাগানো কত কথা শুনিয়েছি। লোকাচারের পথও বারবার দেখিয়েছি। এখন তুমি পুরুষার্থ করো—আমি তোমার বীরত্ব প্রত্যক্ষ করব।
पुत्र उवाच
Instruction must culminate in action: after receiving examples, strategies, and repeated guidance about worldly realities, one should undertake courageous, responsible effort (pauruṣa) rather than remain passive.
A parent/elder (the speaker) addresses her son, reminding him that she has already offered many illustrations, practical counsels, and motivating words; now she urges him to act with valor so she may witness his prowess.
