Bhīṣma-nipāta-saṃvāda — Sañjaya’s Report of Bhīṣma’s Fall (भीष्मनिपातसंवादः)
निकृन्तन्तमनीकानि शरदंष्टं मनस्विनम् । चापव्यात्ताननं घोरमसिजिह्ठलं दुरासदम्
nikṛntantam anīkāni śarad-aṃṣṭraṃ manasvinam | cāpa-vyāttānanaṃ ghoraṃ asi-jihvalaṃ durāsadam ||
ধৃতরাষ্ট্র বললেন—আমি তাকে ব্যূহসমূহ ছিন্নভিন্ন করতে দেখেছি—যেন শরৎকালের দংশট্রাধারী কোনো উগ্র পশু। সে ছিল মনস্বী ও দৃঢ়প্রতিজ্ঞ; ভয়ংকর, ধনুক টেনে মুখ বিস্তৃত করে দাঁড়িয়ে, আর তার তরবারি জ্বালার জিহ্বার মতো ঝলসে উঠছিল—তার কাছে যাওয়া ছিল অত্যন্ত দুরূহ।
