गोप्रदानगुणाः तथा कपिलागोविधानम्
Merits of Cow-Gift and the Origin-Account of Kapilā Cows
न जातु ब्राह्मणो वाच्यो यदवाच्यं शचीपते । मनसा गोधु न द्रुह्ेद् गोवृत्तिगोंडनुकल्पक:
na jātu brāhmaṇo vācyo yad avācyaṃ śacīpate | manasā goṣu na druhyed govṛttigo'nukalpakaḥ ||
হে শচীপতে, শক্র! ব্রাহ্মণকে কখনও অবাচ্য কথা বলা উচিত নয়; আর গাভীদের প্রতি মনে পর্যন্ত বিদ্বেষ রাখা উচিত নয়। যে ব্রাহ্মণ গাভীর ন্যায় সরল ও অহিংস জীবিকা অবলম্বন করে, গাভীদের জন্য ঘাস-খড় প্রভৃতির ব্যবস্থা করে এবং সত্য ও ধর্মে নিবিষ্ট থাকে—তার ফল শোনো: সে যদি একটিমাত্র গাভীও দান করে, তবে সে সহস্র গোদানের সমান পুণ্য লাভ করে।
