Śulka, Kanyā, and Dauhitra-Riktha: Discourse on Bride-Price and Inheritance Rights (शुल्क-कन्या-दौहित्र-रिक्थविचारः)
सम्प्रदध्यौ तथा राजन्नग्नावग्निरिवाहित: । दहामानेन मनसा शापं श्रुत्वा तथाविधम्
sampradadhyau tathā rājann agnāv agnir ivāhitaḥ | dahamānena manasā śāpaṃ śrutvā tathāvidham ||
ভীষ্ম বললেন—হে রাজন! তেমন অভিশাপ শুনে বিপুল আবার গভীর চিন্তায় নিমগ্ন হল—যেন এক আগুনের উপর আরেক আগুন রাখা হয়েছে। তার মন আরও দগ্ধ হতে লাগল; অন্তরের শোকাগ্নিতে দহ্য হয়ে সে পুনরায় ভাবতে লাগল—এখন কী করা উচিত।
