प्रदाता सर्वलोकानां विश्व चाप्युच्यते महत् । ज्येष्ठभूतं वदन्त्येनं ब्राह्यणा ऋषयो5परे
pradātā sarvalokānāṁ viśva cāpy ucyate mahat | jyeṣṭhabhūtaṁ vadanty enaṁ brāhmaṇā ṛṣayo 'pare ||
তিনি সকল লোকের দাতা—প্রাণীদের কাম্য বস্তু প্রদান করেন। এই মহাবিশ্বকেও তাঁরই স্বরূপ বলা হয়। তাই ব্রাহ্মণ ও অন্যান্য ঋষিগণ তাঁকে জ্যেষ্ঠ—আদি ও অগ্রগণ্য—বলে ঘোষণা করেন।
