कीर्तयन् प्रयत: सर्वान् सर्वपापै: प्रमुच्यते । इसी प्रकार नन्दीश्वर
kīrtayan prayataḥ sarvān sarvapāpaiḥ pramucyate |
ভীষ্ম বললেন—“যে ব্যক্তি সংযমসহ শুদ্ধ অভিপ্রায়ে এ সকলের নাম কীর্তন করে, সে সর্বপাপ থেকে মুক্ত হয়। এইভাবে নন্দীশ্বর, মহাকায়, গ্রামণী, বৃষভধ্বজ; সর্বলোকনাথ গণেশ—বিনায়ক—এবং সৌম্যগণ, রুদ্রগণ, যোগগণ, ভূতগণ; নক্ষত্র, নদীসমূহ, আকাশ; পক্ষিরাজ গরুড়; তপস্যায় সিদ্ধ মহাত্মাগণ; স্থাবর ও জঙ্গম; হিমালয় ও সকল পর্বত; চার সমুদ্র; শংকরের সমতুল্য পরাক্রমশালী অনুচরগণ; এবং বিষ্ণু, জিষ্ণু, স্কন্দ ও অম্বিকা—এ সকলের নাম শুদ্ধচিত্তে উচ্চারণ করলে সকল পাপ ক্ষয় হয়।”
