न कुट्यां नोदके सड़्ो न वाससि न चासने । न त्रिदण्डे न शयने नाग्नौ न शरणालये
na kuṭyāṃ nodake saṅgo na vāsasi na cāsane | na tridaṇḍe na śayane nāgnau na śaraṇālaye ||
মহাদেব বললেন—মোক্ষকামী পুরুষের কুটিরে, জলে, বস্ত্রে বা আসনে আসক্তি থাকা উচিত নয়; ত্রিদণ্ডে নয়, শয্যায় নয়, পবিত্র অগ্নিতে নয়, এমনকি কোনো আশ্রয়স্থানেও নয়। মোক্ষসাধককে তপস্যাজীবনের বাহ্য অবলম্বনগুলির প্রতিও মমতা ও নির্ভরতা ত্যাগ করতে হবে।
