देवार्थ पितृयज्ञार्थमन्नं श्रद्धाउ55हतं मया । न दत्तमर्थकामेन देयमन्नं पुरा किल

Transliteration

devārthaṁ pitṛyajñārtham annaṁ śraddhayā ujjhitaṁ mayā | na dattam arthakāmena deyam annaṁ purā kila ||

Translation

পূর্বজন্মে আমি দেবতার উদ্দেশ্যে ও পিতৃযজ্ঞের জন্য শ্রদ্ধাভরে অন্ন সংগ্রহ করতাম; কিন্তু ধনলোভে, যা দানযোগ্য ছিল সেই অন্নও আমি দান করতাম না।
