Sukta 139
यथोदकमपपुषोऽपशुष्यत्यास्यऽम्। एवा नि शुष्य मां कामेनाथो शुष्कास्या चर
yáthodakám apapuṣó ’pa śúṣyaty āsyàm | evā́ ní śuṣya mā́m kāména átho śúṣkāsyā cara
As water dries away from one swollen with dropsy, so in like wise dry up wholly for me with longing; and, dry-mouthed, come thou and obey thy course toward me.
যেমন জলোদর-রোগে ফোলা মানুষের দেহ থেকে জল শুকিয়ে সরে যায়, তেমনি কামনায় তুমি আমার জন্য সম্পূর্ণ শুকিয়ে যাও; আর শুকনো মুখে আমার কাছে এসো, আমার দিকেই তোমার গতি গ্রহণ কর।
