जातो व्यख्यत् पित्रोरुपस्थे भुवो न वेद जनितुः परस्य । स्तविष्यमाणो नो यो अस्मद् व्रता देवानां स जनास इन्द्रः

IAST Transliteration

jātó vyákhyat pitrór upásthe bhúvo ná veda janitúḥ párasya | stavíṣyamāṇo no yó asmád vratā́ devā́nāṃ sá janāsa índraḥ

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Born, he made himself manifest in the lap of his two parents; he knew not the worlds, nor the highest begetter. Yet, while he is to be praised, he who (guardeth) us from our ordinance—(and from) the gods’—he, O men, is Indra.

Translation

জন্ম নিয়েই সে তার দুই পিতা‑মাতার কোলে প্রকাশিত হল; সে না লোকসমূহ জানত, না সেই পরম জনককে। তবু, যে স্তবনীয়—যে আমাদের আমাদের ব্রত‑নিয়ম থেকে (এবং) দেবতাদের (নিয়ম) থেকেও রক্ষা করে—সেই, হে জনগণ, ইন্দ্র।
